As one of only two SEDAC approved mechanical contractors in Illinois, we offer energy services and continuous improvement opportunities to all of our customers. We focus our intellectual property in the disciplines of energy, mechanical and controls systems to deliver best-fit solutions.
As an example, we are modernizing a Chicago-area community college through a multifaceted partnership. Our partnership began with a 10 year maintenance agreement, which saved the college $1.6M. Following an energy assessment of the campus, we co-developed an infrastructure modernization plan that resulted in 30% real energy savings.
In addition, student comfort and operational visibility for maintenance staff were vastly improved.
Midwest Mechanical has provided dedicated energy services to Chicago customers for over 10 years. Our offices are Energy Star rated and we have helped many of our customers achieve the same distinction over the years. We offer streamlined energy audits to inform our customers’ decisions as it relates to facility enhancements. Our broad portfolio of work experience includes retro-commissioning – Low Cost/No Cost savings, developing a “near Net-Zero” facility which included a significant solar thermal space heating project, and everything in between. We utilize Portfolio Manager to benchmark customer’s energy baselines, in addition to other methods and databases.
Midwest has a long history of leveraging energy savings to inform customer investment in mechanical and controls system improvements. We were the first to capture a rebate in Chicago for parallel positioning controls on boilers in 2005.
Midwest is passionate about reducing utility spend; however we understand that sometimes “most efficient” is not always the most economical. To this end, we design and implement opportunities that are most beneficial to our client’s bottom-line. We also include third party financial analysis and financing for every energy related facility improvement, validating projected energy savings and removing financial roadblocks for quick implementation.
