Target Audience: Multifamily Property Managers

What it is:

If you own or manage a multifamily property serviced by Ameren Illinois – they may be able to help you and your tenants start saving on energy costs. There are many no-cost and low-cost opportunities to save energy without making any significant changes to your space.

It only takes a few minutes to get started! Once you have requested your FREE Energy Assessment, an Energy Advisor will contact you within 5-7 business days to schedule a time to talk to you about your property. It will take about 30-45 minutes to go over all the information about your property and the equipment you have that will help us put together a comprehensive list of available incentives for your property.

Target Audience: Businesses

What it is:

Buildings can settle and shift over time, creating gaps and cracks around doors, windows and vents that can leak cooled or heated air from inside. This can cause your HVAC system to work harder to maintain a consistent indoor temperature, leading to higher energy costs.

Sealing your building envelope with caulk, spray foam and flashing can prevent air infiltration, yielding significant energy savings and dramatically improving occupant comfort. These measures can be self-installed or installed by a contractor.

Customers can now receive financial incentives for weatherization measures such as:

• Above-ground wall insulation
• Air sealing
• Duct sealing
• Duct insulation
• Covers and gap sealers for room air conditioners

Target Audience: New Construction

Project Requirements

» Installed equipment must exceed baseline code requirements for energy efficiency.

» Contractors must be Illinois Commerce Commission (ICC) certified.

» Lighting equipment must be at least 15% more efficient than code, and Design Lights Consortium (DLC) qualified or ENERGY STAR certified.

What it is:

Ameren offers financial incentives for a variety of new construction projects, including:

• High-performance lighting
• HVAC system upgrades
• Installation of lighting and HVAC controls
• Specialty equipment (hospitality, industrial, refrigeration, agriculture)
• Custom projects unique to your facility or building

*Pre-approval is required for ALL new Construction projects. Do not purchase new equipment (including generating purchase orders) until you receive an official pre-approval letter.

Target Audience: Varies by type of retro-comissioning

What it is:

Retro Commissioning is the process of fine-tuning building systems to ensure a building is running at its optimal performance. It addresses problems that have developed throughout a building’s life as a result of issues such as aging equipment and changes in how spaces are used by occupants.

During retro commissioning, a certified Program Ally contractor will identify equipment in your facility that is not operating efficiently, systems that need to be replaced or adjusted, and other opportunities for operational improvements. You will then receive a recommended list of energy-saving improvements.

• Retro commissioning helps you uncover problems that may be making your facility less efficient.
• Conducting retro commissioning on a regular basis allows you to reduce operating costs by improving system and equipment performance.
• Retro commissioning allows you to uncover issues that could be causing safety and comfort issues in your facility.

Instant discounts allow you to receive discounts at the time of purchase, which means:

• No Application — when you or your installing contractor purchase eligible equipment from a participating distributor you won’t be required to fill out an application or complete any paperwork!

• Savings Upfront — you’ll receive your savings at time of purchase, so you won’t have to wait for your project to complete and for a rebate check to be delivered.

• Start Saving Now — many of the products available with an instant discount are easy to implement, which means you can start saving on your energy costs sooner rather than later.

Eligibility

Cash incentives, based on energy reduction, are available for a variety of electric custom projects, including:

• LED lighting
• Compressed air
• New construction
• Large HVAC projects
• Grain drying
• Water heat recovery for fuel-fired furnaces
• Water treatment process improvements
• Reduced rational loss from heating equipment
• Combined Heat & Power

Pre-approval is required for all custom projects. You must submit all paperwork and documentation to our energy efficiency team for review prior to starting your project.
