  • What is the Hub?

    The Building Energy Resource Hub (the Hub), is a project of Illinois Green Alliance. The Hub is a trustworthy, helpful, and credible resource for building professionals of all levels of familiarity with energy efficiency.


    The Hub serves Chicago and Northeastern Illinois stakeholders with critical training and resources, ensuring that the region can meet aggressive climate action goals within the buildings sector, while building an inclusive green economy.

  • Who is the Hub for?

    The Hub focuses primarily on serving building developers, owners, operators, and contractors – but also supports a wide group of building decision-makers. 


    The Hub’s programs and services aim to alleviate marketplace uncertainty about the solutions available to improve building performance, support policy compliance, support buildings to navigate finance option, and provide technical assistance on strategies leading to net-zero building emissions.

  • How is the Hub managed?

    The Hub Advisory Board serves critical advisory functions and strategic guidance around programs, resources and educational offerings, and provides recommendations for initiatives and partnerships that help us meet the needs of the market. 


    The Hub’s day-to-day functions and program implementation are the responsibility of the Hub staff.


    The Illinois Green Alliance Board of Directors are legally and fiduciarily responsible for the Building Energy Resource Hub.

  • How do I access the Hub?

    For now, the Hub will be a mix of online and in-person education along with tools and resources found at the Hub’s dedicated website. There is no

    physical location for the time being.

  • How can the Hub help my building?

    Submit a question or contact Hub staff directly to receive individual support or guidance.
